on february 23rd, china energy's tianjin new energy haijing salt-light complementary project completed the construction of its first pile for the substation.
the project is located in the southwest of the binhai new district in tianjin. it utilizes the land of tianjin changlu haijing group co., ltd.'s salt field to carry out centralized photovoltaic power generation without affecting salt production. the photovoltaic field covers an area of over 20,000 acres, with a planned total installed capacity of 1000 megawatts. it is accompanied by the construction of a 500-kilovolt substation, which will be connected to the jinnan 500-kilovolt substation. this project is the largest single-unit capacity salt-light complementary photovoltaic power generation project under construction in china. once completed, it is expected to generate an annual electricity output of over 1.7 billion kilowatt-hours, with an average annual utilization hour of approximately 1300 hours. it will annually save about 510,000 tons of standard coal in electricity generation and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.28 million tons, bringing significant social, environmental, and economic benefits.
