on july 15, the “resource utilization technology for waste flue gas denitration catalysts” project, developed under the leadership of chn energy, successfully passed the appraisal organized by the chinese society for environmental sciences. seven experts and academicians from the chinese academy of engineering agreed that the technology in the project reached an internationally leading level.
addressing the need for resource utilization of waste denitration catalysts, the project produces regenerated carriers with excellent physical and chemical properties that meet industry standards, with the specific surface area of the carriers increasing from 40 m²/g to over 90 m²/g. the project’s outcomes have been granted 28 invention patents and have formulated 10 standards, providing technical support for flue gas denitration and the resource utilization of waste denitration catalysts as well as product support for deep treatment of flue gas pollutants.
currently, production lines with a total capacity of 40,000-ton waste denitration catalyst resource utilization have been built in anhui province, inner mongolia autonomous region, and other places. their catalyst products have been applied in various large coal-fired power plants within and outside chn energy, as well as in the flue gas denitration projects of non-electric industries such as steel and coking. the market share is expected to reach over 30%, effectively solving the problem of resource utilization of waste denitration catalysts.
